How telehealth works in Florida

A clear path to getting started.

1

Book online.

Choose a time in our secure scheduling system. You'll complete your intake forms there, not on this website.

2

Join from a private place in Florida.

You need to be physically located in Florida during each visit. All you need is a phone, tablet, or computer with a camera.

3

Make a plan together.

Your first visit is a thorough conversation about your concerns, history, and goals. If medication is appropriate, prescriptions are sent electronically to the Florida pharmacy you choose.

4

Follow-up care.

Ongoing visits let you check in, review what's working, and adjust your plan together.

Insurance and self-pay in Florida

The practice lists these plans for Florida patients: Aetna, Cigna, Carelon Behavioral Health, Ascension (SmartHealth), Florida Medicaid. Please contact the office to verify your benefits, copay, deductible, and eligibility before your first visit. Self-pay options are available, and if you're uninsured or choose not to use insurance, you can ask for a Good Faith Estimate.

Psychiatric nurse practitioner or psychiatrist?

Many people searching for an "online psychiatrist in Florida" are looking for a psychiatric evaluation and medication management. Dr. Couyoute is a board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner (PMHNP-BC) with a Doctor of Nursing Practice. She is not a physician (MD/DO), and she provides psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, medication management, and supportive counseling. If you need a different specialist or a higher level of care, she'll tell you and help you find the right resource.
